It all started with shy little notes & drawings from Kim Casali to her future husband, Roberto. She would hide these drawings where he would least expect, sometimes tucked in a pocket or popped under his pillow, & also send them to him whenever they were apart.

Since Love Is... first appeared on 5 January 1970 in the Los Angeles Times, it has captured the hearts of millions of fans in over 50 countries & in more than 25 languages.  Fans of all ages & from all walks of life adore & feel a connection to the illustrations & captions - a testament to how timeless & universal the Love Is... concept has become.
